RAINBOW MOUNTAIN FULL DAY TOUR
Overview
The rainbow mountain is an unmissable destination in your stay in the city of Cusco.
This attraction is located in the southeast of Cusco about 100 kilometers away, between the community of Pitumarca and Cusipata, very close to the largest snow-capped mountain in Cusco (AUSANGATE 6380 masl).
The magic of the colors is due to the different minerals that were covered by the glacier until about 70 years ago.
Itinerary
RAINBOW MOUNTAIN Itinerary:
For this adventure the pick up from the hotel will be at 4:30am then we will go by bus for approximately 2 hours to the community of Cusipata where we will eat breakfast at a local restaurant (buffet breakfast), after breakfast we will continue by bus for 1 hour to the starting point (4620 masl).
The round trip will be about 3:30 hours approximately by a well marked road uphill, during the trip you can see domestic animals such as the llama, alpaca and also people with traditional costumes typical of the Peruvian Andes.
After enjoying the rainbow mountain you could choose the red valley trail (optional).
On the way back to Cusco we will stop at the same restaurant to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. This adventure ends at 6:00 pm approximately in the city of Cusco.
