MACHU PICCHU BY CAR TOUR 2 DAYS

This tour to Machu picchu by car is an alternate route, known as the Amazon Route, which will lead you to the town of Aguas Calientes and to know the Wonder of the World Machupicchu, allowing you to have an approach to nature, see a beautiful panorama full of landscapes and snow-capped mountains such as Salkantay, Chicon and Veronica that are a sample of the Peruvian Andes with paved and unpaved roads, with natural people of the area.

Enjoy the fantastic experience of hiking surrounded by wild flora and fauna inside the historical sanctuary of Machupucchu.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Cusco – Hydroelectric bus station – Aguas Calientes town.

This day the meeting point will be in Regocijo square, one block far from the main square, the departure time is between 7:00 am to 7:30 am, we will board our bus, which will take us to hydroelectric bus station for about 6 hours, crossing the Sacred Valley of the Incas, magical villages until we reach the highest pass called Abra Malaga where we can appreciate the most wonderful landscapes of the geography of peruvian andes.

After a brief stop to take pictures we will start the descent to the high jungle, passing through the different altitudinal floors that combine paradisiacal landscapes of Majestic snow-capped mountains to the hot high jungle, until the town of Santa Maria we will find a road in good condition completely paved. From there, the dirt road begins (unpaved) to continue to the town of Santa Teresa. Arrival to the sector of Hidroeléctrica, where we will have adequate time for lunch, then continue to Aguas Calientes town the way is flat along the railway line (11 k or 3 hours), once in Aguas Calientes we will stay in the designated hostel, then we will have dinner where we will receive the explanation talk for the guided tour the next day to the citadel of Machupicchu.

Day 02 aguas calientes town – Machupicchu – hydroelectric bus station – cusco

This day we will leave early from the hostel to Machupicchu, we will have 2 options, to go walking or to go by bus to the main entrance of Machupicchu, then you will have the guided tour for 2 to 3 hours approx.

After visiting Machupicchu we will have to return to the hydroelectric bus station to take the same bus back to Cusco.

It is recommended to return at 11 am to be able to arrive at 2 pm to the hydroelectric bus station.
