INKA JUNGLE TOUR 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS

Overview:

The inka jungle tour is a perfect alternative to the inca trail, aimed at adventure and adrenaline lovers, this trail leads to Machu picchu starting from Cusco.

This tour lasts 4 days and 3 nights we will do intense cycling, canoeing, hiking, zip line in the Inca Amazon to relax in the hot sprint of Santa Teresa before visiting the Wonder of the World.

Day 01: Cusco – Abra Magala – Huamanmarca – Santa maria

The first day of the inca jungle adventure starts with the pick up from the hotel in Cusco at 5:30 am then transportation from the city of Cusco to the town of Ollantaytambo where we will eat our first breakfast.

Then we will continue to the highest point called Abra Malaga pass which is located at 4317 meters above sea level.

Before starting the first activity we will have access to all the safety equipment and bicycles (helmet, armor, knee pad, gloves, vest) then we will have the safety instruction by our official tour guide.

We will have a descent of 55 kilometers for about 3 hours approximately to the town of Huamanmarca at 1600 meters above sea level.

Then we will go to our lodge in Santa Maria which is located at 1100 masl.

In the afternoon (those who have previously booked) we start canoeing for about 2 hours in one of the safe stretches of the Vilcanota River. This is one of the most fun activities and we offer it during the dry season in Cusco (March to December).

Day 02 Santa Maria – cocalmayo hot springs – Santa teresa

The second day our adventure will be in the high jungle of Cusco will start very early, after a delicious breakfast.

We will be transported approximately 20 minutes to the beginning of the hike, we will make a journey of 16 kilometers for about 7 – 8 hours.

We will have a gradual ascent for about 2 hours where we will follow a path that is used by local families, appreciating different types of plantations such as fruits, vegetables, medicinal plants, etc.

Visiting some of these homes, once we are at the highest point 1700 meters above sea level we will have the opportunity to enjoy a stretch of 700 meters of the original Inca trail. then descend for 1 hour to the lunch place (QUELLOMAYU).

After lunch we will have the last 6 kilometers to the hot sprint of Santa Teresa where we will be able to enjoy this gift of nature for a prolonged period of time. At the end we will be transported to our lodging and restaurant for dinner in Santa Teresa.

Day 03 Santa Teresa – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes village

This day in the morning after breakfast (those who have previously booked) will be able to do the zip line, one of the most fun experiences of the Inca Jungle, for approximately 3 hours, at the end of this activity we will be transported to the control point called hydroelectric in the Machupicchu National Park, where we will have our lunch.

After a respective rest we will begin to walk following the train tracks to the town of Aguas Calientes for 11 kilometers.

In the town of Aguas Calientes we will have our last dinner of the tour and we will coordinate the last details for the most important day MACHUPICCHU.

Day 04 Aguas Calientes town – machupicchu – Cusco

This is the most important day because we will ascend early to one of the 7 modern wonders of the world Machupicchu which is located at 2400 meters above sea level, it could be walking for 1 hour and a half or by bus for 30 minutes depending on our physical condition.

We will have a guided tour for 2 hours knowing places of high relevance in the time of the Incas and then have enough time to explore Machu Picchu, and if you want to know some extra mountain as Machu Picchu mountain or Huaynapicchu mountain (prior reservation) will be made the ascent.

Then in the afternoon you will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes and then go to the train station and return to Cusco.
